 Type of Withdrawal Forms

  • Form 10C: This form is used for the withdrawal of EPF. If someone needs to withdraw their EPF they can use this form.

EPF Online Withdrawal Process

Step 1: Go to the EPFO e-SEWA portal.

Step 2: Enter your UAN and password to access the UAN Member e-Sewa Portal.

Step 3: Check the Manager section’s KYC information.

Select the “Online Services” tab in step three. From the drop-down menu, choose “Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D)”.

Step 4: Type in the accurate bank account number that your UAN was used to seed. Select “Verify.”

Step 5: Click “Yes” to continue after carefully reading the terms and conditions.

Step 6: From the dropdown option, select the reason for your withdrawal. Your eligibility will determine the options that are accessible to you.

Step 7: Provide information and, if necessary, upload documents: Put your full address here. When requesting an advance, you can be required to submit your passbook or check details. Agree to the terms and conditions. For verification, ask for a one-time password (OTP).

Step 8: The cellphone number associated with your Aadhaar will receive an OTP. Submit your claim application after entering the OTP.

Step 9: After filing, you can check the progress of your claim by going to “Track Claim Status” on your member e-SEWA portal account.

Offline Process

To apply for the EPF Withdrawal Online you can follow these steps:

  • EPFO Helpline: Call the 24×7 customer care number 1800-118-005 or 13611 (between 7 am to 9 pm) and provide your PF account number or UAN to the helpline officer.
  • SMS: Send an SMS to 7738299899 in the format “EPFOHO UAN LAN” (e.g., EPFOHO UAN ENG for English) from your registered mobile number.
  • Missed Call: Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. You will receive an SMS with your claim status.

Tax Conditions Under EPF Withdrawal

Tax-Free: Withdrawals from an EPF account that you have made contributions to for five years in a row are typically tax-free.

Taxable: A withdrawal made before five years of continuous service is subject to taxation. When you withdraw more than ₹50,000, TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) would be applied at a rate of 10% if you have a PAN and 20% otherwise. To avoid TDS, you can file Form 15G/15H if you match the requirements.

Step 1: Access the e-Sewa site for UAN Members.

Step 2: Enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and password to log in on the homepage.

Step 3: Then, from the “Online Services” page, choose “Track Claim Status.”

Step 4: Information about your claim, including its status, will be shown. Only online claims are eligible for this option.

A mobile-friendly method of tracking your claim is provided by the UMANG app.

There are various steps involved in the PF withdrawal process:

Payment Pending, In-Process, or Under Process: EPFO is currently processing your claim.

Settled: The money has been transferred to your bank account or is currently being transferred once your claim was accepted.

Rejected: We have dismissed your claim. Verify the rejection reason and submit again if necessary.

Not Available: There may be a problem with the information you submitted, or your claim may not have been processed yet. For clarification, you might need to get in touch with the EPFO.
