The objective of E Shram Card

The primary objective of the E Shram Card is to provide financial assistance to people who work in unorganized sector. Construction workers, migrant laborers, contract and platform workers, and other unorganized workers are all included in the first-ever national registry of unorganized workers. A person can apply for an e-Shram or Shramik card if they are employed in the unorganized sector. The e-Shram card entitles laborers and employees in the unorganized sectors to some advantages. Eligibility Criteria

  • Age: Between 16 and 59 years.
  • Income Tax Status: Not an income taxpayer.
  • Sector: Workers in the unorganized sector who are not covered under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) or Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Examples include:

Workers can register for E-Shram via the official website, eshram.gov.in. The following is the registration procedure:

Step 2: Select the option to REGISTER on eShram.

Step 3: Click “Send OTP” after inputting the captcha code and your cellphone number connected to your Aadhaar.

Step 4, enter the OTP that you received on your phone, then select “Validate.”

Step 5: Enter your personal information, such as your address, name, and profession.

Step 6: Add further details, like your family history, abilities, and educational background.

Step 7: Provide your bank account information.

Step 8: Accept the self-statement that the data it has provided is accurate.

Step 9: Carefully go over all the information submitted and press “Submit.”

Step 10: A second OTP will be issued for last-minute confirmation. Fill out this OTP to finish the signup process.

The portal will create an e-SHRAM card with a 12-digit UAN number when your registration is successful, which you can download and print if necessary.

Step 5: Enter the OTP that was received to your registered mobile number by clicking on “Send OTP.”

Step 6: You can now edit the information in your UAN. Once you’ve made the necessary adjustments, click “Submit.”

The new UAN is now available for download or printing.

Step 3: Click “Generate OTP” after entering your date of birth, captcha code, and Universal Account Number (UAN).

Step 4: Click “Validate” after entering the OTP that you received on your phone.

Step 5: Click “Preview” after making sure the information on the screen is correct.

Step 6: For the last step of verification, click “Submit” and provide another OTP.

After it is generated, you can download your e-SHRAM card from the web.
