The Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi launched the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to increase the use of renewable energy in India. According to the finance minister of India, the central government is all set to install 1 crore solar panels in India. Main Objective of PM Surya Ghar

The main objective of launching the PM Surya Ghar Yojana is to increase the use of renewable energy in India by installing solar rooftop systems. The main aim of the authorities is to make solar energy as the main source of energy in India and eliminate the use of fossil fuels completely. To implement this plan the Government of India is also providing subsidies on the purchase of solar rooftop systems to all the selected citizens. As per the Government of India are subsidy of INR 30000 will be given to the selected citizens who will purchase solar rooftop systems of up to 2 kW.

    • A subsidy of INR 30,000 will be given to the citizens who will set up solar rooftop system of 2 kW.
    • A subsidy of INR 18,000 will be given to the citizens who will set up solar rooftop system of 3 kW.
    • A subsidy of INR 78,000 will be given to the citizens who will set up solar rooftop systems of 3 kW and larger.

  • Subsidy for Group Housing Society/ Resident Welfare Association (GHS/RWA)
    • The authorities will provide a subsidy of INR 18000 per kW for various facilities, like EV charging, up to 500 kW capacity (@3 kW per house) with the upper limit being inclusive of individual rooftop plants installed by citizens in the GHS/RWA.
