To maintain the privacy of the citizens of India the Government of India has introduced the Masked Aadhaar Card. The citizens of India can now apply for the masked Aadhar Card online in the comfort of their homes without visiting any government offices. The masked Aadhar card works exactly like a normal Aadhar Card that contains almost the same information except the Aadhar number. Under the masked Aadhar Card, only the last four digits of the Aadhar number is visible on the physical card. How to Download Masked Aadhaar Card (UIDAI Portal)

STEP 1: All the citizens of India who want to download a masked Aadhar card from the UIDAI Portal are requested to visit the official UIDAI website by clicking the link here.

STEP 2: Once the citizens reach the homepage of the official website they must login by entering their credentials and clicking on the option “login”.

STEP 3: A dashboard will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must click on the optionDownload Aadhaar option under the “My Aadhaar”.

STEP 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen the citizens must enter either one of their Aadhaar Numbers, Enrollment ID Numbers, or Virtual ID Numbers.

STEP 5: After entering all the details the citizens must click on the option to “send OTP” and Click on the option to download the masked Aadhar card.

STEP 6: Now the citizens must enter the OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number and the downloading process of your masked Aadhar card will start.

STEP 7: Lastly, to access your Masked Aadhaar, locate the downloaded PDF file on your device. When you open the file, a password prompt will appear. Enter the password, which is a combination of the first four letters of your name (as it appears on your Aadhaar card) in capital letters, followed by your year of birth in YYYY format (e.g., RAHU1990).

STEP 8: Once that’s it designs have entered the correct password they must click on the option “open” to view and use their mask Aadhar card.

STEP 4: A list of documents will appear on your desktop the screen the citizens must click on the option “Masked Aadhaar Card”.
